Don’t miss Ed Wood, Tim Burton’s Oscar-winning 1994 love letter to the greatest of bad filmmakers, as The Frida’s series of films by Burton continues!
Johnny Depp stars as Edward D. Wood Jr., the young director behind such cinematic gems as Glen or Glenda and the notorious Plan 9 From Outer Space. Desperately trying to make it in Hollywood, while hiding his transvestism from his wife, he befriends horror legend Bela Lugosi (Martin Landau) and the two form a partnership that not only pushes both to their personal limits, but those of cinemas as well.
Winner of two Academy Awards – Best Supporting Actor for Landau’s legendary performance, and Best Makeup and Hair Styling for Rick Baker, Ve Neill, and Yolanda Toussieng’s remarkable transformations, Ed Wood is widely considered to be Burton’s masterpiece, and is easily one of his most personal films.

“A masterful ode to movie making and the horror genre.” – Felix Vasquez Jr., Cinema Crazed
